A huge congratulations to the GEYA 12U All Stars — now officially Team Mid-Atlantic — on winning the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship with a big victory over Maryland! This win punched their ticket to Williamsport for the Little League World Series, where they’ll compete as one of just 10 U.S. teams remaining.
Their first game on the biggest stage in youth baseball will be tonight, Thursday, August 14 at 7:00 PM, live on ESPN. This is the moment every Little Leaguer dreams about, and we can’t wait to see them take the field and represent our region with pride.
We’re especially proud to recognize several current and former ASSA Downingtown athletes who have played a part in this amazing run:
- Marek Kalavek
- Aiden Mercer
- Justin Shaw
- Ethan Herbein
- Logan Wisneski
- Heath Podvia
- Macallen Chervenka
- Franky Kolter
Your hard work, dedication, and love for the game have brought you here, and now the whole country will get to see what you can do.
Once again, congratulations to Team Mid-Atlantic! We will be watching and cheering you on tonight, August 14 at 7:00 PM. Let’s bring it home!
