Description
All-Star Sports Academy’s 60/90 Transition Program is an 8-week training experience designed to help athletes successfully make the jump to the full-size field. As players move into the 13U level and begin transitioning to 60/90 dimensions, the game becomes faster, more demanding, and increasingly strategic. This program is built to give athletes the foundation, confidence, and understanding they need to thrive in this next stage of their development.
Each session is structured around two key focus areas to ensure athletes are developing both physically and mentally.
The first focus is Infield Fundamentals. Athletes will work on proper footwork, glove work, and clean transitions, all essential components of becoming a reliable infielder on a larger field. Coaches will emphasize attacking the ball with purpose and efficiency, helping players improve their ability to field, transfer, and throw with confidence. The goal is to build consistency and prepare athletes to make quick, accurate plays, even under pressure.
The second focus is Game IQ & Situational Play. As the field gets bigger, the game becomes more complex. Athletes will be introduced to key concepts such as holding runners, understanding defensive responsibilities, and reacting to different game situations. This portion of the program is designed to help players think about the game at a higher level, make smarter decisions, and feel more prepared during live gameplay.
Held on Mondays from 6:30–8:00 PM from July 6 through August 24, 2026, this outdoor program is ideal for athletes ages 12U–13U who are preparing for or currently transitioning to the 60/90 field.
The 60/90 Transition Program is the perfect opportunity for athletes to build confidence, sharpen their skills, and step onto the full-size field ready to compete.
