Description
Take your catching skills to the next level with ASSA West Chester’s Advanced Catching Program, running Wednesdays from January 13, 2027, to March 3, 2027, from 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Led by our ASSA certified instructors, this 8-week training program is designed for players ages 12U-15U to develop well-rounded, confident, and skilled catchers by focusing on fundamentals, game awareness, and leadership behind the plate.
What Players Will Learn:
- Receiving & Blocking: Improve pitch framing, soft hands, and blocking techniques to control the game.
- Footwork & Throwing: Strengthen quick transfers, footwork efficiency, and accurate throws to bases.
- On-Field Leadership: Develop communication and game-calling skills to lead your team effectively.
- Plays at the Plate: Learn proper plate-blocking techniques.
- Fielding Bunts:Â Learn proper technique fielding bunts. React quickly and make aggressive, accurate plays on bunts.
