Description

This winter program is designed specifically for players looking to enhance their throwing, fielding, catching, and hitting fundamentals prior to the spring season. The clinic consists of eight 90-minute sessions, starting on Saturday, January 9th, and continuing through Saturday, February 27th.

These sessions are led by Chris Kirsch, alongside our ASSA certified instructors at our Conshohocken Training Center.

About Chris:
Chris is from Newtown Square, PA, and attended Marple Newtown High School, where he was named First Team All-Delco and First Team All-Southeastern PA, as well as the 2010 Delaware County Cakey Dougherty Award Winner. He went on to play two years at Lackawanna College, where in his sophomore season he compiled a 10–1 record with a 1.80 ERA, recording 101 strikeouts while allowing just 38 hits in 70 innings. Chris earned First Team All-Region XIX honors, was named the Region XIX Player of the Year, and received First Team All-American recognition. He was also named NJCAA Pitcher of the Week after throwing a no-hitter.

Chris was a three-time MLB amateur draft selection, chosen by the Pittsburgh Pirates (2010, 13th Rd.), St. Louis Cardinals (2011, 21st Rd.), and Tampa Bay Rays (2012, 14th Rd.). He went on to play seven years in the Tampa Bay Rays organization, reaching Double-A before injuries ended his playing career. Over that span, he compiled a 32–28 record with a 3.45 career ERA and was named a two-time All-Star.

Players who register are also welcome to schedule a FREE 30-minute evaluation with our instructors! Please mention Haverford Township Little League when registering.
